Lynka i Stedman na FAI OPEN International Space Models Competition 2026 - DTF Printed Event T-Shirts

We print event T-shirts at Lynka pretty much every day. But it’s not every day those tees go to people who build scale models of real rockets - replicating every detail, even the original flight trajectory.

Stedman Event T-Shirts 

I’m personally closely connected to space modeling, so printing event T-shirts for the FAI Open International Space Models Competition 2026 - where I also had the pleasure of serving as a judge - was twice as rewarding.

I recommended using the Stedman Comfort-T 185 for this project for one simple reason: I genuinely enjoy decorating it, especially with screen printing. The fabric holds ink well and doesn’t suffer from dye migration. On top of that, Stedman Comfort 185: 

  • works well with multiple decoration techniques, including DTF, DTG, and screen printing 

  • is made from soft, combed cotton (the surface is smooth, which helps with ink adhesion and print durability)  

  • features shoulder-to-shoulder neck tape, helping it maintain its shape even after repeated washing and long-term wear 

  • includes two labels: a small size label in the neck and a tear-away label in the bottom seam  

  • is available from XS to 5XL, with all sizes offered in 19 colors

Why We Chose DTF for Stedman Comfort-T 

Even though I specialize in screen printing, we decided to go with DTF for this project. 

The artwork created for this year’s competition was quite detailed and highly colorful, with a lot of small elements. On top of that, we needed accurate reproduction of multiple sponsor logos placed on the back of the Stedman tees. 

In cases like this, DTF simply performs better than screen printing. It allows for precise reproduction of fine lines and small details without simplifying the artwork, which is critical when working with logos.

Event T-Shirts for Contestants and Judges 

On Friday, the day before the competition, everyone gathered at the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków. Participants from 8 countries and competition judges received their welcome packs, which included Stedman Comfort-T T-shirts in Kelly Green and Scarlet Red, all decorated by Lynka. 

On Saturday and Sunday, we met at the Pobiednik Wielki airfield, where we watched and judged rocket model flights in categories S4A, S6A, S9A, S8P and S7. The event concluded with an awards ceremony for the winners.
